Handmade for You

        I am thrilled that everyone who orders a Thread Dance Designs product, knows they are getting a unique and one-of-a-kind handmade keepsake that has been created with love and care, just for them.

Before I began making t-shirt quilts, I created artist Teddy Bears from Mohair fur, embroidered custom shirts, and acted as my family’s handy-woman seamstress.  Then one day a friend asked me if I had ever made T-shirt quilts. That one question lit a fire in me. I became fascinated with learning the best T-shirt quilt techniques and developing my own as well. 

I have been sewing since I was a young girl, but T-shirt quilts was something I had not yet tried. I studied other quilt makers’ techniques and created practice quilts. I spent 2 years honing my skills. But then it became more than a creative challenge. It became a humbling quest to help others be able to enjoy and cherish keepsakes of their loved ones. 

I developed a passion for designing and creating custom quilts and teddy bears from the clothing of my customers’ loved ones. I set out to create the most enduring, high-quality and comfy quilts and the most creative and cute Memory Teddy Bears I can possibly provide…for you.
